Hanging with Mayor

The official press conference was held yesterday, so we can now blab on the internets about the wager between our city, the city of meaty shoulders, and our Blackhawks, and Vancouver and their Canucks. Half Acre has put up two cases of beer, one case of Daisy Cutter Pale Ale 16oz cans and one case of Gossamer Golden Ale 16oz cans. Should the Hawks fall we will send our beer to Vancouver, but we're banking on the fact that not a single drop of our brew will cross the northern border anytime soon. The great part: the Hawks and Canucks have a serious distaste for one another. It should be a brutal bout.

Wow

On the heels of a bunch of Chicago beer events....

Without diving into the particulars of all the mayhem, Half Acre has had a good time. We've been working more than ever and spending more time out and engaged with brewers, craft beer drinkers and what seems like an ever expanding community of people.

Unfortunately

Unfortunately despite our best attempts, the beer gods have deemed it that only 22oz bottles Of The Invasion will be available today. We had a compressor go down, which kicked in a chain of events that ultimately hinders the age-old process of filling kegs. Growler Fills / draft will have to wait till tomorrow.

The Invasion Is Here

The Three Floyds / Half Acre collaboration Helles Bock: The Invasion, comes out today. This beer is available only at the Half Acre Brewery & Craft Beer Emporium, 4257 N. Lincoln Ave in Chicago. We will be selling both 22oz bottles and growlers of this beer while it lasts. Sales begin at 5:00pm today.

This nod to our waterway adversary landed a little under 7%abv. A spring bock beer drummed up with some different elements. Come check it out.

We will be having a party, so come drink with us! Come to Small Bar on Albany in Logan Square this upcoming Wednesday the 21st starting at 6:00pm. There will be fish tacos paired with the beer and the only chance to drink this beer in a bar.

Ginger Twins

The other day we had a visit from some identical Ginger Twins that work in the beer industry. The made the trek here to cash in on their bounty. Please take some time to embrace their wonder. They each hold a bottle of their namesake.

Today we're releasing a single hop Pilsner called Zucker Esel Pilz.

This is draft only and only available in growler format from the brewery.
