How about some teamwork.. anyone have any ideas? I'm trying to think of street names that are also names of chemical reactions (maybe with a church on it)? Or maybe something to do with a University building? Any other ideas?
On S. Ellis Ave, just south of 56th st. is the site of the first controlled nuclear reaction. This would count as "a reaction" I guess. But there are so many churches around here that Im stumped as to the correct cross street. And the building at 55th Place and Ellis perfectly fits "building hugging pole piece" if you look at it no google street view.
I immediately thought of the sculpture at the University of Chicago commemorating the first self-sustaining nuclear reaction. But nothing religious nearby (either in name or function)...
The memorial for the first nuclear reaction sits on the block north and west of the intersection of 57th and University. The block north and east of that same intersection has four or five churches on it. It seems to me the most logical place is on University, north of 57th. I looked around there the other night, but it was getting dark. I am out of town now, so hopefully this helps someone else.
The Church of Scientology is on the same street as Half Acre about 2 miles away. Since they talk about a concept called "the reactive mind", this might explain the reaction part.

This scientific reaction is not in any way connected to the University or splitting atoms.
It's not advisable to go so far away.

I found the intersection, but it occurs to me I have no idea what I am looking for! Is there a picture of the canister somewhere?
