As of yesterday the store has been open one full month. It’s taken all the free time we didn’t have, and all hands have been on deck non-stop. Fortunately it’s been a lot of fun and an exciting new endeavor for Half Acre. We spent a year under brewing lockdown, and now we’re breaking out of our beer cocoon. It’s good to be out and mingling with you all.
Our actual growlers come in next week, so we can step into the high tech world of actual growlers and leave our mason jar roots in the past.. We have new pint glasses coming, as well, so all you folks that thought we were lame when we said we were out of glasses – wait a couple weeks, head back in and prepare to be leveled by their transparent wonder.
We’ve been offering free tours on Friday’s at 5:00. We realize that it’s a tough time for some to get here, so even though we’ve been getting very good turnouts, we’re going to avoid the ongoing issue of folks being bummed out because they’re still chained to their desk at that time. So beginning the weekend of 11/14, the tour officially moves from Fridays to Saturdays. See you here.
In the last month we’ve released three special release beers. Each one is designed to appear and disappear; we’re just having fun and making new beers. You likely won’t find these in the bulk of the places that sell our beer. We don’t make enough of them and don’t plan on setting up the distribution paths for those beers – unless we roll one out full scale, but you can swing by the store to grab a sample and take home a 22oz bomber or growler. We’ll try to continue with these offerings as a way to keep all of us on our toes.
To the good fight,
Half Acre Beer Co

I had your Magnus beer on 11/3/09 (at the Hopleaf). One of the best brews I've had. Combines the best parts of Ales and Lagers. Keep making these great brews.
Think Local, Drink Local.
Gabriel I was nice to meet you last night. My girl love Half Acre and made us stop in last night to simple some of the new beers and grab a six and a growler.
Hey guys. We've made special trips for growlers every weekend you've been open. Glad things are going well. Congrats on your one month anniversary.
Is the store open on Saturdays? I'm going to stop by for some Magnus.
we're open saturdays
Excited to see the tours moved to Saturday starting next weekend. I assume tour time is still 5:00 pm? My folks are in town from South Carolina and are geared up for some great local brew.
Love the Magnus. Love the Daisy Cutter. Having your delicious brewery 2 blocks away has been dangerous thus far.
Looking forward to many growlers this coming holiday season... keep up the great work.
is the store open Sundays too? couldn't find hours on the website.
